Very good, inexpensive food at the German wine gate (border with France)

The house is located directly at the German Wine Gate. We have been here several times to eat asparagus. Very nice and attentive service. We would love to come back.

Everything fits: spacious rooms, good breakfast, friendly staff

Unfortunately we had to wait a long time, the food arrived for each one of them, the first one was already ready and the last one could only begin.

We were here for the first time today. Great menu. Very friendly staff. Great attention is paid to hygiene. From the terrace there is a very nice view of the Black Forest. We'll be back soon.

Restaurant with a very family and pleasant atmosphere, the prices are correct and the dishes are good, the service varies today it was fast.

The food wasn't fresh. Rancid tasting pork lard beforehand. Deer and roast venison were at the table after 5 minutes. Dry meat and warmed side dishes. However, the service was super friendly and on the ball! 👍😎

Price performance is very good! The food is homemade and fresh. The view from the terrace is great! I've been there for 20 years and have always been very satisfied.

Were there for lunch, food was good and tasty, friendly service. Price / performance was right. Gladly again, the cakes are awesome ... The pieces could sometimes be smaller, or optionally half the size for half the price. The only negative, why are fish soups not on the menu at lunchtime, which are on the cards?

Since we have been here many times, you can say that the quality of the food has remained constant. There is always a very large selection with a good price / performance ratio. Warm meals are also rarely offered in the afternoon. The very nice service staff remains to be mentioned

Those who like a lot of people are in good hands there. Tourist magnet. Service is good. The food so-so.

The screamer was absolutely not, okay, but not good. If you put 100 euros for a family, you expect more. The male waitress was very nice and approaching. But on the whole we would not recommend it or go there anymore.

What a great lunch! We were on our way back from the Alsace, and stopper here for lunch. It was nice sitting out on the patio enjoying the weather. Service was friendly and professional, and I thought the prices were very reasonable. My wife had the baked cauliflower, while I had the wild boar. We both enjoyed the white asparagus soup. A lunch stop that deserves a repeat 😊

A very nice place, with family or friends, it's great. And right now on Sundays they make a very beautiful and excellent all-you-can-eat buffet, starter, main course, dessert, as well as an aperitif, a glass of crémant. There is an additional charge for drinks and possibly coffee. The meal is at 19.9o €. Hurry it is still until the end of March, to resume in early October. You will not be disappointed with the trip. And to top it all off, the owner is a charming man who is highly appreciated by customers.

Been here with friends after visiting the "Kakteenland". Very friendly welcome, even our four-legged friends were allowed in. Food was promptly at the table, everything tasted very good. Price-performance ratio completely in order. Toilet very clean.

Friendly staff serving typical Pfalz regional dishes. But what is amazing are the local wines and cakes. Highly recommend the white wines which come from the local Sonnenberg winiard. Also awesome are the cakes which are served in huge sizes and produced locally
